Guess who's back?

2.0 boys by Eminem ft. Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf

Well I guess he never really left...other than that 'retirement' thing he had. I'm not sure why rappers think they can retire. When you're good at selling legal crack, why stop? Anyway, Shady's back with a brand new hit and his affiliates at Shady records, including himself Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse (Slaughterhouse is a group composed of Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Royce Da 5'9" and Crooked I), are about to take over Young Money's overplayed crew of lames. Seriously, if the two crews fought on stage does anyone really think Young Money would win?

Mixtape of the Week

Defying The Predictable Front Cover

http://www.refinedhype.com/mixtapes/novel-joell-ortiz-defying-the-predictable/novel-joell-ortiz-defying-the-predictable.zip

There are three types of mixtapes in the world and they are ranked as follows: intolerable, tolerable, and good. Somehow though, this mixtape falls in between the lader. There are a few songs on this tape that I feel like throwing into my rotation and listening too again, but no song on this tape comes close to classic. I enjoyed the duffle bag boy remix, especially when I heard the Prince tribute to "Dove's Cry", and also when I got another chance to hear the same kid, Short Dawg, that's on Lil' Wayne's "No Ceilings" mixtape. Other than Short Dawg, there's a couple of good features on here including, Jadakiss and Saigon (on the same track!), Papoose, and even One Republic (if you wanna consider using a beat a feature). Besides these features though, not many other songs stand out. Overall, this is a good mixtape to bump when you don't want your good shit getting old.

Final Rating:
7.5/10

Favorite Tracks: Stand Up
Duffle Bag Boy
Hip Hop (remix)
So Much More
All the Right Moves

Shout out to Djbooth.net and refinedhype.com for the mixtape.
